Ingredients 

Dough

  • 4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups Warm water
  • 2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Add the flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rest for 2 hours or until doubled in size.
  5. 5. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into two equal parts.
  6. 6. Roll each part into a long oval shape. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. 7. Use your fingers to make deep ridges along the length of the dough. Brush with a mixture of water and flour to create a glaze.
  8. 8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
