Ingredients 

Falafel Ingredients

  • 1 cup Dried Chickpeas soaked overnight
  • 1 small Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Fresh Parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 2 tablespoon All-Purpose Flour
  • as needed Vegetable Oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. Soak chickpeas overnight in plenty of water.
  2. 2. Drain and rinse chickpeas. Add to food processor with onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, and baking powder. Process until mixture is coarse and holds together when pressed.
  3. 3. Transfer mixture to a bowl, stir in flour. Form into small balls or patties.
  4. 4. Heat oil in frying pan over medium heat. Fry falafel in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
  5. 5. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or in pita bread with veggies.
