Ingredients 

Dough

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 cup Warm water

Filling

  • 200 grams Ground beef or lamb
  • 1 small Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Allspice
  • 1 tablespoon Pine nuts (optional)

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, olive oil, and warm water. Knead until smooth. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  3. 3. In another bowl, mix ground meat, onion, salt, pepper, allspice, and pine nuts.
  4. 4. Divide dough into small balls, roll out each ball into a small circle. Place a spoonful of filling in the center, fold and seal the edges.
  5. 5. Place turnovers on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
