Batter
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Cold water
- 1 large Egg
- 1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
- 2 cups Vegetable oil, for frying
1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cold water, and egg until smooth.
2. Season the shrimp with salt and black pepper.
3. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
4. Dip each shrimp into the batter, then carefully place into the hot oil.
5. Fry the shrimp until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
6. Remove the shrimp from the oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
