Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g All-purpose flour
  • 300 ml Water lukewarm
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 packet Dry yeast about 2 ¼ tsp
  • 2 tablespoon Sesame seeds

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and sugar.
  2. In another bowl, dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Punch down the dough and divide it into two equal parts. Roll each part into a flat oval shape.
  8. Place the dough on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and press them lightly into the dough.
  9. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let the flatbread cool on a wire rack before serving.
