Ingredients 

Dough

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • ¾ cup Warm water

Topping

  • 250 grams Ground lamb or beef
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Ground allspice
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper
  • ¼ cup Pine nuts (optional)

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add olive oil and warm water. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, combine ground meat, chopped onion, tomato paste, allspice, salt, pepper, and pine nuts (if using).
  5. Divide the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a small circle.
  6. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture on each dough circle and spread it out evenly.
  7. Place the flatbreads on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until the dough is golden and the meat is cooked.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
