Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Red lentils
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Diced tomatoes
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Rinse the lentils under cold water.
  2. 2. In a pot, combine lentils and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until lentils are tender.
  3. 3. Drain any excess water from the lentils.
  4. 4. In a blender, combine cooked lentils, olive oil, smoked paprika, cumin, garlic, and diced tomatoes. Blend until smooth.
  5. 5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. 6. Serve warm or chilled as a dip or spread.
