Ingredients 

Dough

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 cup Warm water

Filling

  • 2 cups Spinach, chopped
  • 1 small Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Sumac
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add olive oil and warm water. Mix until a dough forms.
  2. 2. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  3. 3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. 4. In another bowl, mix spinach, onion, lemon juice, sumac, salt, and olive oil.
  5. 5. Divide the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a small circle.
  6. 6. Place a spoonful of the spinach mixture in the center of each circle. Fold the edges to form a triangle and pinch to seal.
  7. 7. Place the fatayer on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
