- 2 pounds fresh mussels cleaned and debearded
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste
1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
3. Pour in the white wine and bring to a boil.
4. Add the mussels, cover the pot, and steam until the mussels open, about 5-7 minutes.
5. Discard any mussels that do not open.
6. Stir in the parsley, salt, and pepper. Serve immediately.
