Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 head Cabbage large
  • 1 cup Rice uncooked
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce
  • 1 large Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 cup Vegetable broth

Instructions 

  1. 1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully remove the core from the cabbage and place the whole head in the boiling water. Cook for about 5 minutes, then remove and let it cool. Separate the leaves.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine the rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, and cumin. Mix well.
  3. 3. Place a spoonful of the rice mixture onto each cabbage leaf. Fold in the sides and roll up tightly.
  4. 4. In a large pot, layer the bottom with some of the smaller or torn cabbage leaves. Place the rolls seam-side down in the pot.
  5. 5. Pour the tomato sauce and vegetable broth over the rolls. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 1 hour.
  6. 6. Serve hot and enjoy!
